Home Information Packs for Existing
Properties
Home Information Packs (HIPs) have
been introduced to provide more information to housebuyers in order to speed up the house moving process and to reduce
the number of abortive sales. Further information can be obtained from the Government website at
As a house seller, you must
have a HIP in place before marketing your home whether you are advertising privately or through an Estate Agent.
If selling through an Agent, you
can either use them to arrange the HIP or are free to look at other providers.
An Energy Performance Certificate must be included
within the HIP and this provides a bar chart (similar to the ones we are all familiar with on fridges and washers) together
with recommendations about how to improve efficiency and reduce energy bills.
As an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor, I complete
the Energy Certificate personally and offer flexible appointments times including early mornings, evenings and weekends to
inspect your property and complete the assessment.
Operating within a 30 mile radius of the PR2 (Preston
in Lancashire) postcode, I offer a competitively priced, personal and efficient service to provide a Home Information
Pack and only require payment once the complete pack is ready to give to you.
The completed HIP is provided in a PDF (Portable Document
Format) on a CDROM.

Information about HIPs for New Build can be found
